I am Happy and Sad at the same time.

I get like this at the end of every season, since my coaching career start summer of 1975 and the summer of 1981 when I started coaching in Beloit. 

This season ending is different, our team is now going to the next level.

Coach DeKok and I had a Dream in the late 1990s of a program that would benefit our kids, swimming, and community in a greater way. We are now one program with many teams. We offer swim lessons, Middle School Swimming Team, High School Swimming, and now summer team becoming a Year-Round Team.

YES, This fall we will becoming a USA Swimming Program. 

There will be lots more information coming.

Almost all of our coaches, swim lesson instructors, swimmers, lifeguards, and parents have grown up with this program. It makes me happy that almost everything swimming in Beloit has its roots with Beloit TIDE. 

So they end of the summer swim season is also the birth of a new fall season. 

Reminder we will be having a Team Gathering at BMHS Natatorium Wednesday August 20th at 6:00pm, with Movie at 7:00pm. More info to come this week. 

Lets Celebrate this summer and the great things that are to come.

TIDE 3rd at Platteville

The TIDE swam to a 3rd place finish at the Platteville invitational Saturday.

TIDE swimmers did a GREAT Job of representing Beloit both in and out of the pool. 

All swimmers placed in the meet and we had many medalist. Lead by our 13-14 Girls and Boys. This age group won all four relays and had many 1st places, and meet records. We also sweep several events, and again the IM events were our biggest strengths.

Julianna Bennett: 13-14 Girls 200 Free, 50 Breaststroke

The TIDE's last practice is August 8th.

TIDE Women's High School Swimming Starts August 12th at Krueger Pool at 8:00am

Platteville Last Notes Before Meet

Be at Platteville Family Aquatic Center by 7:15 am
Warm-up starts at 7:30am
Meet 8:30am
Over around Noon.

Bring Towels, suit, goggles, caps, sleeping bag. 

If anyone has canopy that would be a help to keep kids out of sun. 

Several swimmers had to drop out of meet do to their ball teams keep winning. So make sure before you leave when you are done individual events that you are not in relays.

Lets have FUN, Cheer on your teammates, and Represent Beloit with Pride.
