Last Day Revisited

I am Looking at Thursday August 6th. Instead of an intersquad meet have Time Trials and a Pot Luck. I would like to do this in the evening Start at 6:30 for the swims. I would like this to be a family event. Maybe start food at 6:00pm. We would use the north picnic area by the concession stand. I would reserve it for our function. Kids would sign up for the their events. Swimmers could swim any event(s) of their choosing. Please give me feed back. Thanks

McGuire Aquatics

Those of you who are interested in swimming this school year or year round swimming. McGuire Aquatics is an option. Brian is a former swimmer of mine (10years) and was my assistant for 2 years. He is a level 4 coach (ASCA American Swimming Coaches Assoc.) and the head boys coach at Boylan.

Rockford Open Early Results

A Great day for all. All swimmers had at least one season best, and almost all came home with a medal. 1st places: 9-10 Boys; Jackson Prowse 50 Free, 50 Breast. Open Men; Joe Gracelyn 50 & 100 Free, 100 Breast. Matt Christidis 100 Fly and 200 I.M. Lots of Top 8 Finishes. Several Team Records. Great Job!!

MAC Dual Meet

I am very happy with our Dual Meet last night. I felt everyone swam very well. We still have things to work on, but we have made great progress. I should have results in my e-mail today and awards by next week. GREAT JOB EVERYONE!!

If it is raining Sunday the Rockford Open will be held at Boylan High School Knights Complex off of IL Hwy 2 at Campus Hills

NISCA Dual Meet Rankings 2008-09

The National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Assocation Dual Meet Rankings are out for this past season. The Boys Swim Team at BMHS was ranked 26th in the Nation for Class 3 pubic schools (student population 1401-1900). Verona Area was the only other school from Wisconsin ranked in the top 25. The Top High School in the USA was the Baylor School in Tennesse, for both boys and girls. The top boys public school was New Trier in Illinois and girls was Upper Arlington in Ohio.

Thursday Practice

There will be PRACTICE Thursday!!! We always practice on dual meet days. I would like to thank the 30 SWIMMERS who made it to practice today. You are truly dedicated rain or shine. We will practice unless there is lightneing.

Rockford Open Basic Info

Meet is at Alpine Pool in Rockford. It is behind the old Colonial Village Mall. Fastest way there would be to take Perryville Road to East State than South on Alpine go just past Mall than left, parking is behind Mall.

Warm-up is at 9am Meet starts at 10am. They want you to wear the cap they give you if you wear a swim cap. No team caps at this meet.

I have asked the meet Director to get me a heat sheet early so I can remind you of your events.

Platteville Meet Results

I have Finally received the results of the Plattville Meet. We swam incredibly well for our First Ever Meet. Even though it was a loss. We scored many 1st places and other ribbon winners. We also had a swimmer set a new Pool record at Platteville. Jackson Prowse set a new pool record for the 9-10 boys 25 meter Breaststroke with a time of 23.46.
