Team Ranked Nationally by NISCA
The National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association has ranked the Purple Tide and the Lady Tide National for Academics. As of March 22 the Lady Tide is Ranked 2nd and the Tide 5th. The Lady Tide has been rank in the top 15 Nationally the last 4 years. The last 5 years the Lady and Mens' programs have produced 15 Academic All-State Swimmers and 7 Academic All-Americans.

School Board to Honor Swimmers
The School Board is going to honor the Purple Tide for it's academic achievements this past season on April 28th at the monthly board meeting. Try to make arraignments to be there. Academic All-State and All-Americans will be honored as well as the Varsity Girls and Boys Gold and Silver awards.

Rockford City Open
The Krueger Summer Team has been invited to the Rockford City Open. Sunday July 12th, this will be an all day event. Remember Summer Team Starts June 15th. Open Swim is still going on at BMHS 3:30-4:30 Monday - Thursday.

Tenitive Big 8 Boys Schedule
A tenitive Big 8 Boys Schedule has been released pending approval of Athletic Directors.
The boys will swim a 6 meet schedule plus Conference Meet. Beloit will host two dual meets; one with Madison Memorial and Janesville Craig (Parnets Night). We will visit Madison East, and Middelton in dual meets. Triple Dual meets with Madison West, Madison LaFollette at LaFollette and a triple with Janesville Parker and Verona at Verona. All conference regular season meets will be on Friday Nights. This will open our schedule for more non-conference meets and invitationals.

All State and All Americans Named
WISCA and NISCA have posted their Academic All-State and All-Americans as of March 18th. For the Girls Team; Keke Butz, Amanda Hayes and Morgan Hamilton and for the Boys Team; Mitch Fillbach, Austin Thomas, and Tom Whitcomb have been named Academic All-State. A cummulative GPA of 3.5 is nessasary for 7 semesters. Keke and Tom have also been named Academic All-American, a GPA of 3.75 is nessasary for 7 semesters. Seniors will announce their Colleges for next year at a later date. Follow blog for updates on their selections for College.

New Pool/Community Center
School Board Elections are comming up. Ask the canidates their opionions on this issue. We need this in Beloit. We want people to not just work in Beloit, But live in Beloit. We need to have the facilities to attract people to our GREAT city.

Krueger Summer Swim Team Adds Meet
Place on your calendar. Triangle Meet with Platteville and Lancaster at Platteville. Saturday June 27th at 9:00am. More information to follow. Mr. DeKok time to get ready to swim. There will also be an open division for our college kids and adult swimmers.
Big 8 Swim Coaches Meeting Last Night
Big 8 swim coaches voted to end having week night meets. The coaches voted to have schedule two double duals, so that all meets can be on Friday nights. This would free up schedules to have more invitationals on team Lineups. Tide boys are looking at scheduling the Platteville Invitational, Janesville Cougar Relays, Parker Relays or Elkhorn Invitational, Oshkosh West Invitational, Rockford Auburn Relays, Rockford Boylan Pentathlon, and Madison Invitational as additional meets to regular Big 8 lineup. J.V. team is scheduling as additional meets the Madison Memorial Spartan Invite, Janesville Cougar Invite, and Rockford Boyland Dual.

Middle Tide Girls WIN!!
Middle Tide Girls won the Dual City Conference meet at Janesville Marshall. This is the 1st time the Lady Tide won the conference after finishing second the last 6 years in a row. Now both Middle Tide boys and girls have won the Conference. The Boys won in 2005. Congratulations to Coach Butz, DeKok, and Prins.
National Gold Award
Our Girls High School Swim Team has won the National Academic Gold Award from the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (NISCA) for the fourth year in a row. Their Varsity Team GPA was a 3.83. The Boys team won the National Silver Award with a Varsity Team GPA of 3.609. Overall Team GPA for the girls team was 3.3 and for the boys was a 3.1. Congradulations on your outstanding classroom record.
