Middle Tide Boys Open Season

The Beloit Middle Tide opened it's season with a scrimmage against Janesville Franklin Tuesday night.

With 40 boys out for the Tide this season, by far it's largest team ever, Beloit is looking as sharp as ever.

The Tide was led by Jackson Prowse(8) who won both the 50 Fly (32.61) and 50 Back(33.43). Both Times are rated in the Top Ten in team history. His fly time was 8th all-time and his back was 3rd all-time.

The Lady Tide finished 8th at the Big 8 Conference Meet Saturday.

The Tide had many outstanding performances, they were led by Cece Cardenas in the 500 free. Cece swam a 5:44.49, which was the 4th fastest time in school history.

Middleton won the meet for the second year in a row, Madison Memorial was runner-up.

PURPLE TIDE ALUMNI MEET

Friday November 23rd

Warm-up: 8am

Meet: 9am

This meet is a celebration of Beloit Swimming; Men, Women, Parents, all levels (high school, middle school).

All current and former TIDE swimmers are welcome. Swim, Cheer, reunion with the past and meet the current.

This will be the last time a meet will held in the current pool. Hopefully we will see progress on the new facility.

BAT Pentathlon

Christian Daniels and Jackson Prowse won their age groups at the Beloit Aquatic Team Pentathlon today at Beloit College.

Christian (15 & older) finished 1st in the 100 Back, 200 IM, and 100 Breaststroke. He also finished 2nd in the 100 Fly and 100 Free. His fly time of 58.7 was a lifetime best.

Jackson (13-14) finished 1st in the 100 Breaststroke, he also finished 2nd in the 100 Fly (lifetime best), 200 IM, 100 back, and 100 free.

It was good to see a lot of Summer Tide swimming for the BAT's Today.

Tide J.V. 6th at Big JV Conference

The Lady Tide J.V. finished 6th at the Big 8 J.V. Conference Meet at Sun Prairie high school. Middleton won the Big 8 JV Title, the Tide beat Janesville Craig, Parker, Madison LaFollette and East.

The Tide had many outstanding time improvements, and was led by its relays in team points.

The 'A' 200 Medley Relay of Rachel Schultz, Jenna Ambrose, Maddie Patch, Mariel White was the Tide's highest finishing swim 9th.

All swimmers in the 200 free and 100 back swam lifetime bests. 

The TIDE's next meet is the Varsity Big 8 meet at 

Middleton high school. 

Make sure that you are going to this meet that you get your tickets in advance. Follow the directions that Coach Waite has posted.

Big 8 Conference Ticket Sales

Just a quick email about how ticket sales for the Conferene Swim Meet on October 27th.

Please note how ticket sales will be handled this year.

The Conference meet will be held at Middleton High School. Start time is 1:00 PM. You will want to get there early even if you have a ticket so that you can ensure a place to sit. My guess is that they will let spectators into the pool area between 10 AM and 11 AM.

 

They will be selling tickets online at www.ticketleap.com beginning Monday, October 22nd at 6 PM. Please do not wait to buy a ticket at the door or wait too long to purchase online if you plan on watching your daughter swim. They only have seating for 400 spectators. They will be selling 50 additional tickets at the door on that Saturday beginning at 10 AM (these will be sold on a first come first serve basis). Cost for tickets is $3.00 and Heat Sheets at the door will be $2.00.

 

I will be telling the girls who are not swimming in the meet and are wanting to come watch the same thing. They are going to need to purchase tickets to watch the meet. We are only allowed entrance for the girls actually swimming in the meet, managers, and coaches (and there is a limit on that too).

 

 

I will send out another email on Sunday night to remind you of ticket sales on Monday Night!!!

Tide Has Record Day at Craig Relays

The Lady Tide swam at a the Janesville Craig Cougar Relays Saturday morning.

Swimming their second meet in two days the Tide had an outstanding meet, finishing in 5th place.

Top Places:

3rd 850 (50,100,200,5000 Free Relay: Maggie Gianvecchio, Kallie Oldenburg, Madeline Franklin, CeCe Cardenas 9:22.53  School Record

2nd 200 Class Free Relay: Cardenas, Kyla Robson, Oldenburg, Franklin 1:49.48 School Record - 8th Fastest Time in School History.

Tide gives Madison Memorial Fits

Despite the score Beloit Memorial Lady Tide gave Madison Memorial all it could handle tonight at the Beloit College Natatorium. The Tide lost to the Spartans 127-43.

The Tide was lead by Madeline Franklin's 1st Place in the 100 Freestyle 56.73.

There many outstanding swims and many top three swims;

100 Back: Diane Meason 2nd, 1:07.31

200 Medley Relay: 3rd Meason, Cardneas, Franklin, Kallie Oldenburg 2:04.83 9th fastest in school history.

Tide Swims to Freshman Records

The Lady Tide swam a great meet in a losing effort at Madison West. West Varsity beat the Tide 124-46 and the JV 139-31.

The Tide did put up a great effort swimming to two freshman records in the 200 Medley and Free relays. The Tide also swam to two 1st places, and out scored West in the 50 free 11-5. The team swam many season and life-time bests.

We will hold our meeting right after code meeting. Remember if you have not attended a code meeting you must go to Wednesdays meeting.

Right after meeting we will have a Mandatory  Parent/Athlete meeting following in the Pool Balcony.

We will go over expectations for this season and other Great Stuff.
