TIDE Ranked 11th in Current Coaches Poll

The 1st WISCA Coaches Poll came out last night and the TIDE is ranked 11th in Division 1, its highest early season ranking since 2005.

Madison Memorial and Madison West are ranked number 1 & 2, with Verona number 5. Janesville Craig which Beloit has beaten three times this year is ranked number 9.  Milton is ranked number One in Division 2. Beloit will be swimming Milton in the Rock County Championships January 3rd.

The Tides highest ranked swimmers are Christian Daniels 14th in the 200 IM and 13th in the 100 Breaststroke. Caleb Schober is ranked 24th in the 100 Breaststroke. All three Tide relays are ranked; 200 Medley and 200 Free Relays are ranked 11th and the 400 Free Relay is ranked 10th.

TIDE Wins Elkhorn Invite

It was a GREAT weekend for Beloit, between ground breaking for the new pool on Friday and winning the Elkhorn Invite (25 meters).

Saturdays meet was a total team effort finishing now higher than 3rd place in any one event. All swimmers scored at least one point. Several team short course meter records. 12 of the 15 swimmers brought home.

Prowse at NIKE Invitational

Jackson Prowse 14 (Middle Tide) swimming for the Beloit Aquatic Team made the finals at the NIKE Invitational at Waukesha South high school. There were swimmers from Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin. 

Jackson made finals in both the 200 and 100 Breaststroke.

TIDE 3rd at Parker Relays

The Purple Tide finished out its weekend at the Janesville Parker Relays. The Tide finished 3rd behind Madison West and Middleton. Beloit battled Middleton all meet long only missing 2nd by 10 points.

Beloit placed all of its relays in the top 6 with four relays finishing in the Top 3.

Christian Daniels set a new team record in the 100 IM with a time of 56.87, breaking the old record set by David Luebke of 57.78 set in 2000.

The Tide bounce back after last weekend. Winning a close one to long time Rival in the very tough Big 8  Conference by 1point and downing East in team record points.

The Tide had many outstanding swims led by many. Every swimmer contributed in making Craig earning their win. Our depth has improved making practices very competitive and fun.
