WIAA Sectional Summary; We're Back to State

Beloit Sectional
So Fast, it's Insane!!!!!

The Beloit Sectional was by far the toughest sectional in the state.

The TIDE had an outstanding day. Everyone of our swimmers has a swim they can hang their hat on. We swam 17 of 18 life time best on our individual swims and all three relays were all season bests.

All three relays qualified for state and Ben Saladar qualified in the 100 Fly.

BIG 8 Conference Review

Like most of our conference meets of the past, our swimmers who were fully tapered for the meet swam very well. But overall this was a very good conference meet for us. I feel we set ourselves up for a Great Sectional meet this coming Saturday.

We placed a relay and one individual in the top 8, which hasn't happened in a long time. We also had several swimmers finish in the top 16, and several swims making the TIDE all time list.

Battle on the Rock Summary

Battle on the Rock

The was the best week before conference meet that we have swam in years.
We started out a little slow in the 1st individual event, be we came back strong the rest of the meet.

Though the score doesn't show it, we really pushed Sauk and Sun Prairie to the brink. I feel when we get down to sectionals that we will be very tough to beat. We have put ourselves in a very good position for the Championship season push.

All relays swam very well, we haven't swam this fast this early in 20 years. Remember Keep Trusting your Training...

We placed at least one swimmer in the top 8 in each event, we help us finish 3rd out of 7 against very strong competition.

Final Score:
Sun Prairie 533
Sauk Prairie 460
Beloit Memorial 397
Hononegah 266
Boylan 265

Manty 3Peat

After winning the last two Manty invites by 1 and 20 points; The TIDE made it 3 in a row Saturday, by winning the Manitowoc Invite by over 200 points.
The TIDE won 5 events and had a least one medalist in each event. We also had a least two swimmers in the top 8, in each event and every swimmer scored at least 2 points. Again our depth and all around ability showed. With Jim Santas out with the flu, the team really pulled together and over came his loss.
