TIDE Ranked 11th in Current Coaches Poll

The 1st WISCA Coaches Poll came out last night and the TIDE is ranked 11th in Division 1, its highest early season ranking since 2005.

Madison Memorial and Madison West are ranked number 1 & 2, with Verona number 5. Janesville Craig which Beloit has beaten three times this year is ranked number 9.  Milton is ranked number One in Division 2. Beloit will be swimming Milton in the Rock County Championships January 3rd.

The Tides highest ranked swimmers are Christian Daniels 14th in the 200 IM and 13th in the 100 Breaststroke. Caleb Schober is ranked 24th in the 100 Breaststroke. All three Tide relays are ranked; 200 Medley and 200 Free Relays are ranked 11th and the 400 Free Relay is ranked 10th.

TIDE Wins Elkhorn Invite

It was a GREAT weekend for Beloit, between ground breaking for the new pool on Friday and winning the Elkhorn Invite (25 meters).

Saturdays meet was a total team effort finishing now higher than 3rd place in any one event. All swimmers scored at least one point. Several team short course meter records. 12 of the 15 swimmers brought home.

Prowse at NIKE Invitational

Jackson Prowse 14 (Middle Tide) swimming for the Beloit Aquatic Team made the finals at the NIKE Invitational at Waukesha South high school. There were swimmers from Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin. 

Jackson made finals in both the 200 and 100 Breaststroke.

TIDE 3rd at Parker Relays

The Purple Tide finished out its weekend at the Janesville Parker Relays. The Tide finished 3rd behind Madison West and Middleton. Beloit battled Middleton all meet long only missing 2nd by 10 points.

Beloit placed all of its relays in the top 6 with four relays finishing in the Top 3.

Christian Daniels set a new team record in the 100 IM with a time of 56.87, breaking the old record set by David Luebke of 57.78 set in 2000.

The Tide bounce back after last weekend. Winning a close one to long time Rival in the very tough Big 8  Conference by 1point and downing East in team record points.

The Tide had many outstanding swims led by many. Every swimmer contributed in making Craig earning their win. Our depth has improved making practices very competitive and fun.

Tide Swims Madison West

The Tide lost to Madison West 123-46

The Tide was led by 2nd place swim by Christian Daniels 200 IM and 3rd place 100 Breaststroke. Chance Murray also had a  2nd place 500 Free. There were many early season life-time best swims by all.
Beloit's B and C relays really shined as well as the incoming freshman.

The J.V. lost to West 132-38, but was led by Jason Schroeder's 500 free 1st place and 3rd place 200 IM.

The Tide's next meet is next Friday at Janesville Craig in a triple dual with Madison East. 

Remember the Boys Meets start at 5:30pm.

Saturday the team will be at the Parker Relays.

Middle Tide Downs Frankllin

Middle Tide Boys beat Janesville Franklin 147-90 tonight.

The Tide was led by Jackson Prowse's school record in the 100 IM of 1:08.7. The old record was held by Mitch Filback set in 2004 of 1:09.3.

When I get more results I will Post. 

The Tide has not lost a meet in four years. The Dual City Conference meet is Tuesday at Janesville Marshall at 4:15.

Alumni/InterSquad Results

It was a Great Friday and the last swim meet to be ever held at the BMHS Natatorium.

We had a good turn out of Alumni, with the Lady Tide having the oldest alum. Representing the class of 1980 were Ann (Criswell) Boccignone and Kathy (Neubauer) Landon.

The Alumni won the meet due to their depth, and the Purple beat the White. The Captains for the Purple were Kevin Nguyen and Caleb Schober. Captains for the White were Christian Daniels, Morgan Poepping, and Joe Garetson.

Tide Combined Practice

The High School and Middle School Tide had a combined practice today and it was awesome.

We started out with Yoga, took the team picture. We included the middle Tide, can't wait to see it.

Then we had practiced, it was a blast. The kids work hard and great with each other. 

We finished with relays and it was the best combined practice ever.

Middle Tide Boys Down Marshall

Middle Tide Boys beat Janesville Marshall 150-90.

The Tide won all 9 events, going 1-2 in most events.

When I get finally results, they will posted ASAP.

What result we do have is Jackson Prowse set a new team record in the 200 Free of 2:10.18, breaking the old mark by Arman Cabrera of 2:15.08 in 2009.

Middle Tide Boys Down Edison

The Middle Tide Downed Janesville Edison Friday Night 125-105.
The Tide have not lost a meet in 4 years.

The Tide was led by double individual winner Jackson Prowse and Josh Lankford. Prowse won both the 50 Fly and 50 Back, while Lankford won the 200 Free and 50 Breast.

Beloit also won both the 200 Medley Relay of; Jim Santas, Sam Klobucar, Prowse, Tommy Kelly. The 200 Free Relay; Kelly, Adam Mianecki, Mayse, Lankford.

Middle Tide Boys Open Season

The Beloit Middle Tide opened it's season with a scrimmage against Janesville Franklin Tuesday night.

With 40 boys out for the Tide this season, by far it's largest team ever, Beloit is looking as sharp as ever.

The Tide was led by Jackson Prowse(8) who won both the 50 Fly (32.61) and 50 Back(33.43). Both Times are rated in the Top Ten in team history. His fly time was 8th all-time and his back was 3rd all-time.
