Good Weekend for the TIDE

The TIDE lost to Madison West Friday night, but had some good swims by our young swimmers in their off events.

Saturday the TIDE finished 8th in their own 12 team invite. The meet was very fast for this early in the season. Meet was won by Waukesha South. Beloit had 5 medalist and one freshman record.

Middle TIDE Girls Split Meets

Middle TIDE split their meets last night, East TIDE beating Janesville Edison 158-83, and West TIDE losing a nail biter 118-108.

It was a great first meet for both teams with a lot of best times and several school records.

New Records: 6th Grade 200 Medley Relay (2nd Place) Faith Sill, Sydney Prowse, Noa Levy, Katie Kraemer. 2:26.38 tied for 9th All Time TIDE list.

The Beloit TIDE swam 43 team members at the Beloit Aquatic Team Winter Classic.

The TIDE had more swims for USA Wisconsin LSC State Cuts, put many swimmers in the finals, and came home with many awards.

TIDE JV won 94-41

The TIDE swam much better in the second 1/2 of the meet, but had dug to big a hole. Over all I'm very proud of how we swam, our young guys swam great for their 1st high school meet. When you swim in the BIG 8, it's tough every week.

The TIDE was lead by Christian Schober's 1st place in the 100 free, and the 200 Free Relay of Justin Stanton, Adrian Sowicz, Jackson Prowse, and Andrew DeKok.

SAVE THE DATE!!!

Monday December 22 we will be taking our team photo as well as individual swimmer photos (if desired). The photos will be taken at the beginning of practice and all are requested to attend if possible. Photos will be available for purchase (fund raiser for the team). Swimmers should wear their black team suits for the photos.

After the photos have been taken, we will have a short warm up session and then have a night of fun in the pool for every age group.

PRACTICE OVER BREAK

For the weeks of December 22-26 and December 29-January 2 we will run the following practice schedule:

Little Tide: 5:00-5:45pm
Junior  5:00-6:15pm

Pre-Senior and Senior: dryland 5:00-5:30pm, in the water 5:30pm-7:15pm.

No practice will be held on Dec 24 and 25, as well as Jan 1.

Beloit start off with a Bang going 1st and 2nd in the 200 Medley Relay and never looked back as the TIDE swam to their sixth straight Dual City Championship and 7th in team history. The team was lead by 3 time champion Nathan Sill winning the 100 IM, 50 Fly and anchoring the 200 Free Relay in the fastest time in team history with a 24.54.

Beloit had a least on swimmer in the top 3 in each event, also finished 1st and 2nd in the 100 Free, and 50 Fly. The TIDE also finished 1st and 3rd in the 100 IM and 50 Backstroke.
