Meet starts at 5pm.

This promises to be a very good and close meet. So lets Pack the Bleachers and ROCK THIS PLACE!!

We will also need timers. Boys swim team get out and support your teammates.

Lady Tide Downs Madison East 112-57

Lady Tide beat Madison East 112-57, wining 7 of 11 events and setting a new Freshman Record in the 400 Free Relay.

The Tide won all three relay events, sweeping 1, 2, 3 in the 400 Free Relay. The 'A' 400 free relay of Maggie Gianvecchio, Caroline Locke, Perri Thompson, CeCe Cardenas set a new Freshman Record of 4:17.70, breaking the old record by 16 seconds set in 1996.
The Tide also swept the 50 free, with Kallie Oldenburg taking 1st, Gianvecchio 2nd, and Katie Ziebert 3rd.

Tide Place Two at Hononegah

Madeline Franklin and CeCe Cardenas finished 2nd in their divisions at the Hononegah Pentathlon swam at Boylan High School.

Madeline was 2nd in the Senior Division, CeCe finished 2nd in the Freshman Division.

Overall the TIDE swam very well. Jackie Townshend(10) had an outstanding meet swimming lifetime best in every race.

Tough Loose, But Great Swimming

The Tide drop its meet with Janesville Craig 99-71 and the J.V. 77-76.

But the Tide made them earn every point. Madeline Franklin led the way with two wins in the 50 Free 26.35 and the 100 Fly 1:06.03. Beloit's other 1st place came in a 1,2,3 sweep in the 100 Back. Diane Meason won the back in 1:10.29, 2nd place went to Jackie Townshend and 3rd to Maggy Locke.

The Tide finished 2nd in eight different events:
200 Medley Relay: Meason, Morgan Makinen, Caroline Locke, Kallie Oldenburg. Kallie's split of 25.02 is one of the fastest splits in school history.

200 Free: CeCe Cardenas 2:13.80
200 IM: Caroline Locke 2:42.64
100 Free: Cardenas 59.91, swim the 16th fastest time in school history.
200 Free Relay: Cardenas, Oldenburg, Maggie Gianvecchio, Franklin 1:49.79
100 Breaststroke: Makinen 1:21.10
400 Free Relay: Cardenas, Caroline Locke, Gianvecchio, Franklin 4:02.78 10th fastest time in school history.

Coach Waite said "It was the loudest swim meet she had every been to."

Ladies you represented Beloit well tonight. Carry your Heads High!! Now lets do it again tomorrow.

PARENT/ATHLETE EXPECTATION MEETING

Wednesday October 10th.

Athletic Code Meeting at BMHS, even if you attended a meeting this fall I want you to be there.

Right after meeting we will have a mandatory  Parent/Athlete meeting following in the Pool Balcony.

We will go over expectations for this season and other Great Stuff.

Madeleine took 3rd in 100 free. 1:04.42. New school record.

New 200 free relay record. 2:01.52.
Maggie Giavecchio, Oldenburg, Cardenas, Franklin.

Morgan Makinen 100 Breaststroke new record 1:30.95

Diane went 1:18.94 broke her record, 100 Back

400 free relay got 6th. 4:33.53. Maggie G, Caroline, Kallie, Madeline.

6th place out of 12 teams.

25 meter pool.
2:20.45 medley relay. New school record . 8th place.
Madeleine 5th in 200 free. 2:19.74. New school record
Cecilia just went 2:46.30 snuck into 8th place. New school record.

TIDE Crush Parker

The Lady Tide swam past Janesville Parker 105-65.

The Tide won 8 of 11 events, with the ladies scoring everyone of their swimmers in every event.

The Tide was led by double individual winners Madeline Franklin(12) in the 200 and 100 free, and CeCe Cardenas(9) in the 200 IM and 500 Free. Other Individual 1st places Caroline Locke(9) in the 100 Fly and Morgan Makinen(11) in the 100 Breaststroke. 

The Other two wins came in the 200 Free and 400 Free Relays. Members of the 200 relay were Kallie Oldenburg(11), Makinen, Maggie Gianvecchio(9), Franklin. The 400 Free Relay swimmers, Gianvecchio, Cardenas, Locke, and Franklin.

After Parker won the 200 Medley in which Beloit finished 2nd and 3rd. Beloit came back with a 1,2,3 sweep in the 200 Free, lead by Franklin in a season best 2:04.79, 2nd went to Caroline Locke and 3rd to Lexi Taylor(10), giving Beloit a lead it would never relinquish. 

CeCe's 500 Free of 5:52.30 moved her up to 13th on the All-Time Purple Tide list.

Diane Meason(11) 2nd in both the 200 IM 2:41.97 and 100 Back 1:10.22
Maggy Locke(11) 3rd in both the 500 Free and 100 Back and anchoring the 3rd place 400 Free Relay. (Tough Triple)
2nd Place 200 Medley Relay was the 11th fastest time in Tide history 2:06.94; Meason, Makinen, Cardenas, Oldenburg.
Kallie Oldenburg 2nd in the 50 Free
Maggie Gianvecchio 3rd in both the 50 Free and 100 Free.
Sarah Koth 3rd in 100 Breaststroke.

J.V. TIDE won 103-50, also winning 8 of 11 events.

The Tide's next meet is tomorrow at the Elkhorn Invitational. Meet starts at 10am.
Next Dual Meet is next Friday at Beloit College against Janesville Craig. Meet starts at 5pm.
